Judith “Judy” Arleen Grant (nee Pegg), aged 82, passed away on the evening of September 7th, 2022. In her final days, Judy was surrounded by her children and grandchildren who she loved dearly.  Judy is survived by her three children Michael, Paul, and Lisa as well as her grandchildren Aiden, Emily, Ethan, and Isabella.  Born in Vancouver B.C., Judy was the only child of Harold and Enda Pegg. She grew up surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends. In her younger years, Judy loved horses, horses and some more horses. This is a passion she carried into her adult years and how she met Don, her future husband and father to her children. Judy worked as a dental assistant, preschool teacher and finally a teaching assistant for the Langley School District for over 20 years.

In her later years, after the death of Don, Judy spent her time with her children and most especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her retirement years where Judy could still run after school homework club, watch their sports and activities while enjoying them as they matured into adults. Judy also loved stories. As an avid reader the librarians knew her by name and often offered her book suggestions.

Judy lived on her property since 1975 where she raised her family with her husband and hosted neighborhood parties and worked in her gardens.  Moreover, Judy enjoyed many sunrise coffees and evening sunsets on her deck. This was more than a property. It was her home- the anchor for her family.

Judy’s family would like to thank all the medical staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, especially the Baker 2 and Palliative Care units. They provided wonderful care and comfort to Judy and her family. We also extend a thank you to Dr. Guirguis, who was Judy’s primary physician. His care and compassion were wonderful during her last two years. View Tribute Book.
